Jaipur: Boy falls into borewell, rescue efforts on

Jaipur, Jan 29: A four-year-old boy fell into a borewell in Rajasthan's Bhilwara district.

According to police, rescue operations are on to pull out Pankaj, who is stuck about 20-22 feet down in the borewell on Thursday, Jan 29.

The incident occurred last afternoon at Jahazpur village when Pankaj was playing near the borewell and fell into it.

Amardeep Singh, SHO Jahazpur said, "Rescuers have so far dug a pit parallel to the borewell and now a connecting tunnel of three feet will be made to pull the boy out."

"Rescue operations with the help of five earth movers continued through the night and are expected to last for few more hours," he said.

The condition of Pankaj since yesterday, is not known. However, oxygen is being supplied continuously, police said.
