Haldiram confectionary chain owner convicted
Kolkata, Jan 27: The fast track court has convicted has convicted Prabhu Shankar Agarwal, the owner of Haldiram confectionary chain, including four others for conspiring to murder a tea stall owner in Kolkata in 2005.
According to media reports, Agarwal and the co-accused will be sentenced by the court on Friday, Jan 29, in connection with the shooting of the tea-stall owner's nephew in the Burrabazar, Kolkata.
Agarwal had allegedly hired goons to kill the tea stall owner, who refused to move his shop, that was blocking the entrance to Agarwal's restaurant in Burrabazar.
However, instead of the tea-stall owner, his nephew was shot and injured on Mar 30, 2005.
