Bellary building collapses, 4 killed, many trapped

Bellary, Jan 27: An under-construction building collapsed and fell on a hostel here killing at least four people, including a 22-year-old student of the hostel, and injuring at least five.

The five-storey building collapsed in Gandhinagar area of the city on Tuesday, Jan 26 night, the police said.

Rescue operations are on as several are believed to be trapped under the debris.

A worker, who was pulled out of the debris, has reportedly informed the police that at least 20 people were still trapped in the ruins.
