Organised hands behind church attacks: BS
Bangalore, Jan 26: Coming close in heels to governor Hr Bhardwaj strong warning against those behind communal disturbance, chief minister BS Yeddyurappa said that the recent church attacks were carried out by organised groups to tarnish BJP's image.
"I am aware of the incidents. Since these incidents have happened before the Republic Day, I suspect some organised group is trying to tarnish the image of the government which is working for the welfare of the people," he said after the republic day celebration.
Assuring strong action against the culprits, Yeddyurappa said that the he has directed the police to investigate into the matter.
On Jan 25, two churches were attacked in Mysore and in Uttara Kannada District in which the statue of Mother Mary was damaged.
