Notice to Tendulkar for defaulting on car cess payment

Mumbai, Jan 25 (ANI): The Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation has issued a notice to Sachin Tendulkar for failing to pay tax on a luxury car purchased by him.

The corporation has also penalized industrialist Anil Ambani and Bollywood singer Shankar Mahadevan in similar matters.

The corporation claims that very few people register their cars in Navi Mumbai in spite of lower taxes.

The cess in Navi Mumbai is less than the cess paid in Mumbai, claims the corporation.

The corporation is sending notices to all car owners, who have violated payment norms. (ANI)
