Minors burnt to death by mentally unstable father

Asansol, Jan 25: In a gruesome incident, two minor girls were burned to death by their mentally challenged father in Burdwan district on Monday, Jan 25, police said.

The charred bodies of Tabassum, 7 and Tanu, 10, where found inside the locked house by fire fighters, who rushed to the spot after being informed by neighbours about the smoke coming out of the house at Islampur.

Police said that the girls who had suffered 95 percent injuries were declared dead at the Asansol Sub-division Hospital.

The accused identified as Md Fiaz has been absconding since then.
