7 in 10 Brit workers wake up with bad mood

London, Jan 25 (ANI): Nearly 70pct of the Brit workers wake up in the morning with a bad mood, reveal a new survey.

Of them almost half take their bad temper into work.

One in five said they have had a tiff with their bosses due to their moods - and the same number get into an argument with their partner about their irritability.

Four out of ten revealed that their bad mood affected their entire working day and even impaired the quality of their work.

The figures showed tiredness, stress and hunger as the most common causes of moodiness.

"The findings paint a woeful picture of mornings, with so many starting in a bad mood and skipping the most important meal of the day," the Daily Express quoted Professor Geoff Beattie, Dean of psychological sciences at the University of Manchester, as saying.

The study also showed that those who ate breakfast were less moody.

Sixty three per cent admitted to feeling grumpy compared with 74 per cent of those who missed the meal. (ANI)
