Majority of Aussies want Prince William as next king
London, January 24 (ANI): Prince William has pipped his father Prince Charles to be voted as the next king favoured by most Australians in a new poll.
Newspoll, commissioned by ITV News, found that 58 percent of the 1,203 people quizzed wanted to see the 27-year-old as their next monarch as compared to 30 percent in favour of Charles.
William was also said to have worked his charm on the women Down Under with 63 percent saying they would like to see him succeed the Queen, reports the Daily Express.
As many as 45 percent said the Queen should remain Australia's head of state while 43 percent in opposition. (ANI)
