Kuala Lumpur, jan.23 (ANI): Malay Indian temple authorities and a developer Friday reached an agreement to relocate the 80-year-old Sri Sakti Nageswari Amman temple in Kampung Haji Abdullah Hukum, Bangsar here, to a nearby place.

The Star quoted Deputy Minister of Federal Territories M. Saravanan said developer, SP Setia Bhd Group, which was involved in the development of Kampung Haji Abdullah Hukum, agreed to provide a 0.41ha piece of land for the temple.

Speaking to reporters after a working visit to the temple Friday, Saravanan said it was estimated that RM1.5mil was needed to build a new temple beginning in June and to be completed in 18 months.

The Bernama news agency quoted him as saying he would also try to get an allocation from his ministry to build the temple. (ANI)
