NWFP govt. sacks 30 employees over Taliban links
Islamabad, Jan.22 (ANI): The North West Frontier Province's (NWFP) Education department has sacked at least 30 employees over alleged links with the Taliban.
The department said that it has dismissed the employees after it established their links with extremists.
NWFP's Home Department said that it had recommended to the government to remove 29 employees of the education department after a probe confirmed the government employees' links with militants, Xinhua reported.
A statement issued by the provincial government said the sacked employees were involved in "anti-state activities".
According to sources, all the dismissed government employees belong to Malakand area, where the security forces are engaged in an intense battle against the militants. (ANI)
