UP: Police, STF kill four kidnappers, rescue boy
Lucknow, Jan 21: A 11-year-old boy, who was abducted by his driver Surendra Yadav and his three accomplices, was rescued after police and special task force (STF) killed the four culprits in an encounter on Thursday, Jan 21.
"Four persons were killed in an encounter in Malihabad area and the kindnapped boy Gaurav Mishra was rescued," Senior Superintendent of Police Prem Prakash told the media.
The class seven student studying in CMS school was kidnapped from Aliganj area on Wednesday, Jan 20.
When the kidnappers called the child's uncle Shivanand Mishra and demanded a ransom of Rs 1.5 crore, the police traced the phone to Sitapur.
In a joint operation with the STF, the police were able to kill the criminals and rescue the boy.
