Siliguri flower show celebrates silver jubilee

Siliguri, Jan 21 (ANI): Over 150 varieties of flowers were showcased at the silver jubilee celebrations of a flower show here on Wednesday.

The show, organized by Siliguri Horticultural Society, is the largest show in the region.housands of people from all across India, and even foreigners attended the flower show every year.

"As I saw flowers, I have specially come to see them. I like flowers and I am glad to see the different variety which is exhibited here," said Deepak Singh, a visitor.

Cactus and orchids from Kalimpong town in West Bengal and Sikkim were the most popular plants in the show.

"The aim of this show is to promote the flowers, which grow in Darjeeling. The show also aims at promoting the Indian flower industry," said the president of the show, Nantu Pal. (ANI)
