Disgusted over recent attacks on Indians: Oz
Melbourne, Jan 21: Australian Deputy Prime Minister Julia Gillard has said there is no excuse for recent spate of violence against Indians.
Addressing a community cabinet here, Gillard said, "We're absolutely disgusted with some of the violent incidents we've seen involving Indian students."
She further said that, despite the recent spate of violence, the general feedback from nearly half-a-million Indian students was positive about Australia.
She acknowledged that parents whose children are studying in Australia must be worried about their children.
She said the government was working with the police and various education outlets to educate students before they come to Australia.
