Musharraf's policies have placed Pak on a 'volcano of explosives': JUI chief
Lahore, Jan.19 (ANI): Criticising former Pakistan President General Pervez Musharraf for siding with foreign powers in the 'war on terror', Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (JUI) chief Fazl-ur-Rehman has said that he has placed the country on a 'volcano of explosives'.
Addressing a party workers gathering here, Rehman said the current chaotic scenario in Pakistan is part of a deliberate attempt to declare it a failed state and gain access to its nuclear facilities.
He asked the government to distance the country from the international alliance in the 'war on terror'.
"The so-called war against terror has plunged the entire world into a hell-like darkness," The News quoted Rehman, as saying.
He also urged putting up a strong fight both inside and outside the Parliament against the government's faulty policies. (ANI)
