Rathore's bail hearing adjourned till Jan 25
Chandigarh, Jan 18: Punjab and Haryana High Court adjourned the hearing on the anticipatory bail petition and the quashing of abetment to suicide case of former Haryana DGP SPS Rathore in the Ruchika molestation case till Monday, Jan 18.
Justice Sabina adjourned the hearing due to certain technical issues after hearing the arguments of Rathore's lawyer-wife Abha Rathore.
On Jan 12, the Court scheduled the hearing on Jan 18 based on the petitions by Rathore and had ordered CBI, which is investigating the case to file its response to the cases on Jan 19.
A stay notice was issued to the CBI by Justice Sabina against the arrest of Rathore, as the CBI sought a week's time to response to the the anticipatory bail petition in the fresh two FIRs filed against accusing Rathore of serious criminal charges in the case.
The former DGP had sought the quashing of the third FIR under section 360 (abetment to suicide)
