I will become Samajwadi from Mulayamwadi: Amar
New Delhi, Jan 18: Amar Singh on Monday, Jan 18, thanked Samajwadi Party chief Mulayam Singh for accepting his resignation on health grounds.
Addressing a press conference here, Amar Singh said, "I am thankful to guardian of Samajwadi Party Mulayam Singh Yadav for accepting my resignation. I feel grateful to Mulayam Singhji for making me free and independant."
He asked his supporters to maintain peace and keep away from making any remark against Samajwadi Party.
Singh said that his resignation was given political hue but he resigned on health grounds only.
When asked whether he was not Samajwadi within the party, he said, "No, I was Mulayamwadi, I am accepting my fault."
He further said that he will not join any political party or float any political outfit. "I will try to be a samajwadi now and will work for social cause," he said.
"The party workers are with me. They must maintain calm. All real Samajwadis will rally behind me," he said.
At the same time, he also thanked Congress Party for its approval to separate Telangana state in Andhra Pradesh.
