Ruchika case: CBI meets SC Girhotra, Anand Prakash

Chandigarh, Jan 15: Days after taking over Ruchika molestation case, the CBI began its first formal interaction with all those connected directly or indirectly with the case on Friday, Jan 15.

The CBI team began its interaction with Anand Prakash, father of Aradhna, who is the sole eye witness to the molestation case, at its camp office in Sector 18.

In a News agency report, Prakash said that he was summoned by the CBI to familiarize themselves with the case.

"But I will be taking along with me records relating to the case for submission to the team which is also expected to record my statement," he added.

Ruchika's father SC Girhotra has also met the team from the Special Crime Branch (SCB), New Delhi to provide details in the molestation case.

Meanwhile, Aradhna has said that she has not yet been summoned by the CBI team.

The case was handed over to the CBI on Jan 12, to probe into the fresh three FIRs filed against the tainted former Haryana DGP SPS Rathore by Ruchika's father, SC Girhotra and her brother Ashu Girhotra on various charges, including attempt to murder, abetment to suicide and doctoring the post mortem report and other documents.
