Now, mobile phone that runs on Coca-Cola!

Melbourne, January 15 (ANI): A Chinese inventor has devised a way to charge her mobile phone batteries with a can of Coca-Cola.

Daizi Zheng said that her invention could curb the financial and environmental costs of mobile phone batteries.

She uses soda to power her cell phone, instead of harmful lithium-based batteries.

"The concept is using bio battery ... to create a pollution free environment," News.com.au quoted her as telling Sky News.

She added: "By using bio battery as the power source of the phone, it only needs a pack of sugary drink and it generates water and oxygen while the battery dies out."

Zheng briefed that a sugar-powered phone has the potential to operate three to four times longer on a single charge than conventional batteries and could be fully biodegradable.

She concluded: "At the time they wanted something to bring out within the next two years and thought my design was too futuristic."

Zheng designed the power cell as a client project for Nokia. (ANI)
