Krishna arrives in Nepal to strengthen ties
Kathmandu, Jan 15: External Affairs Minister SM Krishna on Friday, Jan 15, arrived here on a three-day visit aimed at strengthening the bilateral relations between the two countries.
Speaking to reporters, Krishna said, "This first visit of mine is to further strengthen bilateral relations and extend it to other areas which have not been covered so far."
He noted that the two countries enjoyed civilisational links and have cordial ties.
The two sides will sign four pacts, including one for construction of a road in Terai.
Another pact will be in the power sector and entails electrification of five villages in Nepal.
Krishna also expressed confidence that the visit would expand the bilateral relations and open more avenues for cooperation for mutual benefit.
