JD (U) criticises Gadkari's statement on migrants
New Delhi, Jan 14(ANI): The Janata Dal (United) Delhi unit on Thursday condemned Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) president Nitin Gadkari's statement opposing the migration to Delhi and Mumbai.
On Tuesday, Gadkari had stated that the migrants to Delhi and Mumbai have become a roadblock to development of these cities.
Party's Delhi unit president Balbir Singh criticised Gadkari of adopting Shiv Sena and Maharashtra Nav Nirman Sena's tone.
JD (U) General Secretary Prabhat Ranjan said that both Delhi and Mumbai belong to people of the country, as they are national and financial capitals respectively.
Ranjan said that people from other states have contributed a lot in development of Delhi and Mumbai. (ANI)
