Dalai Lama says efforts needed to improve Sino-Indian ties
Bhubaneswar, Jan 14 (ANI): Tibetan spiritual leader, the Dalai Lama, has called for improving relations between India and China.
Talking to reporters here on Wednesday, he said efforts were needed to better ties between India and China that together constitute a quarter of the human population.
"India and China are the most populous countries in the world. India is transparent. It has democracy. But the other party (China) is not transparent. It should be more transparent to build good relationship with New Delhi," he added.
He also said that transparency would defuse hostility between the two neighbours and build up mutual trust between them.
"Good relations on the basis of mutual trust are very essential in order to build both sides need some effort," he added. (ANI)
