Bharti Airtel names Sanjay Kapoor as new CEO
New Delhi, Jan 13: Telecom major Bharti Airtel on Wednesday, Jan 13, appointed deputy CEO Sanjay Kapoor as its new CEO for India and South Asia.
Sanjay Kapoor replaces Manoj Kohli, who will now head the new international business group as CEO (international) and will remain a joint managing director.
The changes in the new organisation structure will be effective from Apr 1, 2010.
The restructuring has been done with the objective to focus on expansion beyond India and South Asia.
