Rathore's counsel seeks time to argue bail plea
Chandigarh, Jan 12: Former DGP SPS Rathore's counsel has asked the Punjab and Haryana High Court to grant adequate time to argue his anticipatory bail plea in the Ruchika case.
Rathore's lawyer-wife Abha on Tuesday, Jan 12, submitted her plea before the court that she needed sufficient time to present her case.
Justice Sabina granted her plea and posted the petition for hearing later in the day.
The two fresh FIRs have been registered on the basis of complaints by Ruchika's father S C Girhotra and brother Ashu.
The charges include, attempt to murder, wrongful confinement, giving false evidence and doctoring the post-mortem report of Ruchika, who committed suicide 3 years after being molested by Rathore on Aug 12, 1990.
