IIP grows by robust 11.7 pc in Nov 2009

New Delhi, Jan 12: Industrial production growth rose by 11.7 per cent in Nov 2009, fuelled by manufactured goods.

Industrial growth was 2.5 per cent in Nov 2008.

Manufactured goods grew by 12.7 per cent in Nov 2009 compared to 2.7 per cent in the same month a year ago.

Within this category, consumer durable goods production was up by 37.3 per cent in the month against just 0.3 per cent a year ago.

The figure for Oct 2009's annual industrial growth rate was at 10.3 percent.
