UP flyover collapses, 6 workers injured
Faziabad, Jan 11: A portion of an under-construction flyover, which is a part of ongoing national highway project, collapsed on workers at the site in Uttar Pradesh's Rudauli town injuring at least six of them.
“Nearly five to six workers were injured when slab of an under-construction flyover collapsed on them at Roza crossing this morning," Additional Director General of Police Brij Lal said.
The injured have been taken to the district hospital.
Some of the people injured in the accident are in critical condition.
“We are trying to ascertain whether there is any casualty or some workers are trapped under the debris," the officer added.
District Magistrate and senior police officials were immediately rushed to the spot to start rescue operations.
