SP leaders politicising my resignation: Amar
New Delhi, Jan 11: Samajwadi Party leader Amar Singh has asked his senior leaders not to 'politicise' his resignation.
Singh, in his latest blog entry, said, "My decision to quit the post had no political connotations but leaders like Janeshwar Mishra, Ram Gopal Yadav, Mohan Singh and Brij Bhushan Tiwari have tried to add political colour to it."
"It was my own decision and I have not consulted Amitji (Amitabh Bachchan), my wife (Pankaja), Jaya Bachchan, Jaya Prada or Anil (Ambani)," Singh said.
Singh also maintained that he respected party supreme Mulayam Singh Yadav and had not attacked either him or any member of his family anytime.
Meanwhile, Mulayam Singh Yadav has invited Amar to the Saifai Festival.
As per reports, Mulayam called up Amar Singh, who is currently on vacation in Dubai, and invited him to attend the festival.
It is also being suggested that Amar has accepted the invite and would be in Saifai during the concluding ceremony later this week.
