I married Ruchika's father in 1990: Veena

Chandigarh, Jan 11: In a new twist to Ruchika's molestation case, Veena, a domestic help of Girhotras, said that she had married Ruchika's father SC Girhotra.

The Special Investigation Team (SIT) of the Haryana Police, which questioned Veena on Sunday, Jan 11, said she had married SC Girhotra in Nov 1990.

"I married SC Girhotra in Nov 1990. The marriage took place three months after Ruchika was molested by SPS Rathore. I separated from SC Girhotra in 1995," Veena told the SIT.

Father of Ruchika's friend Aradhana, Anand Prakash rubbished Veena's claims and said, "Veena is married and has a daughter. So how can a married woman marry Girhotra?"

Earlier, Rathore's lawyer wife Abha Rathore had accused Veena of being the second wife of Ruchika's father S C Girhotra.

Abha had also sought a probe into Veena's role in driving Ruchika to suicide.
