TN Sub-Inspector's murder: Three arrested
Chennai, Jan 10: Three people have been arrested for the murder of Sub-Inspector R Vetrivel of the Tamil Nadu Police in the state's Tirunelveli district.
Speaking to reporters, SP Asra Garg said, "We have arrested three people, including a retired policeman, in connection with Vetrivel's murder. We are on the lookout for 10 more people."
The three people who are arrested are A Kandasami, P Kannabiran and Shanmugasundaram
Vetrivel was attacked in broad daylight on Thursday, Jan 7. As he lay on the road bleeding, a convoy of ministers MRK Paneerselvam and TPM Mohideen Khan reached there.
The ministers instead of trying to help the dying officer, they watch him bleed to death.
Vetrivel was a part of the Special Task Force that killed forest brigade Veerapan in 2004.
