Amar Singh likely to join NCP
New Delhi, Jan 9: Wishing Amar Singh good health, the National Congress Party (NCP) said that the possibility of Singh joining the party cannot be ruled out.
"We believe in keeping human relations above politics. Mr Amar Singh is unwell. Our party sends him best wishes to see him healthy, fit and fine," NCP spokesperson D P Tripathi said in a News agency report.
While calling it an 'inappropriate occasion to talk about politics', Tripathi, however, said that there was every possibility of Amar Singh joining NCP.
"Politics is always pregnant with possibilities," Tripathy said.
Amar Singh resigned from the Samajwadi Party on Jan 6, citing health grounds.
Singh later revealed that he was frustrated by the denial of party tickets to candidates recommended by him, adding that he was tired of being dominated by Mulayam's family members.
SP chief Mulayam Singh Yadav who earlier denied a rift between the two finally admitted that there were some differences between Amar Singh and his cousin Ram Gopal Yadav.
Yadav said that he would talk to Singh after he is back from Dubai.
