Two LeT militants killed in JK encounter

Srinagar, Jan 8: The security forces killed two Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) militants in an encounter in Jammu Kashmir's Pulwama district on Friday, Jan 8.

DGP Kuldeep Khoda said, "Two LeT terrorists were killed in Pulwama district of Jammu Kashmir this morning. The encounter lasted four hours."

The terrorists have been identified as Altaf and Zahoor. They were involved in a car bomb blast and killing of two policemen in Pampore in 2009, he said.

Two AK rifles were recovered from the militants, SP Avantipura Basheer Khan said.
