Sharad Pawar to meet Hasina in Bangladesh
New Delhi, Jan 8 (ANI): Union Agriculture Minister Sharad Pawar, who is on a three-day visit to Bangladesh, will meet Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on Friday.
Pawar will also meet his Bangladesh counterpart and is expected to visit the Gramin Bank headquarters set up by Nobel laureate Professor Mohammed Younus.
Pawar, who is also the Chairman of the organising committee of the 2011 ICC Cricket World Cup, will unveil the 2011 Cricket World Cup trophy in Dhaka on Saturday.
Bangladesh will host a total of eight matches during the ICC Cricket World Cup 2011, including the opening match and the two quarter-final matches.
The opening ceremony of the tournament will be jointly hosted by India, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh. The closing ceremony will be organised in Dhaka on February 17. (ANI)
