Rathore's bail plea verdict on Jan 8
Panchkula, Jan 8: The bail plea verdict of former Haryana DGP SPS Rathore in connection with the Ruchika molestation case has been deferred to Friday, Jan 8 afternoon by the local court.
On Jan 7, additional district and sessions judge Sanjiv Jindal reserved the verdict till Jan 8 after hearing the arguments of Rathore's lawyer-wife Abha rathore and Ruchika's family lawyer Pankaj Bhardwaj.
The hearing of accused ASI Sewa Singh's counsel Ajay Jain and the Public Prosecutor was also held in the same session.
The court will decide on the anticipatory bail filed by Abha in two fresh FIRs registered on Dec 29, 2009.
Abha said that the bail for the third FIR against Rathore under section 306 (abetment to suicide) has not been sought as it has been already settled in the Supreme Court.
Ruchika's father, SC Girhotra and brother Ashu Girhotra had registered complains against Rathore and others regarding post mortem proceedings and booking of Ashu in false cases.
ASI Sewa Singh, arrested for investigating the false auto theft against Ashu Girhotra has also appealed for an anticipatory bail in the two FIRs filed by SC Girhotra and Ashu Girhotra for numerous offences including attempt to murder, wrongful confinement and forging a document.
