Karachi, Jan 8: An explosion rocked the southern Pakistani of Karachi on Friday, Jan 8, killing at least five people and injuring around eight.
Deputy inspector general Sardar Majeed said that the blast occurred at a one-room house located near Babri mosque in Baldia town area of Karachi at around 8:15 am.
The police immediately cordoned off the area and a bomb disposal squad was rushed in.
Officials added that suicide jackets, grenades and weapons were found in the house, which was rented out to unidentified persons.
Police is currently trying to trace the owner of the house.
