Tata Nano to make its debut in US on Jan 14

Chicago, Jan 7: India's 'people's car' Tata Nano is all set to make its debut in the United States on Jan 14 at a Detroit auto show.

The world's cheapest car produced by the Indian industrial giant Tata Group will be showcased at the Detroit Science Center among other cars from rival companies.

Tata Technologies, a part of Tata Groups, which would put Nano for display, plans to "highlight its end-to-end vehicle engineering and design capabilities to its auto industry customers".

"The innovative thinking that brought the Tata Nano to market is symbolic of what Tata Technologies has to offer the automotive industry," Tata Technologies' president and COO Warren Harris said.

This comes days after Tata Group's chairman Ratan Tata announced company's plans of taking the small car to US in a span of three years, at the ongoing Delhi Auto Expo.
