Ruchika case: Rathore's interim bail ends on Jan 7
Panchukula, Jan 7: The interim bail granted by the sessions court here to Former Haryana DGP SPS Rathore, convicted in Ruchika molestation and suicide case, ends on Thursday, Jan 7.
CBI can now arrest Rathore since the Haryana police has transferred the probe on the new FIRs to them.
The panchkula sessions court had granted an interim bail to Rathore till Jan 7, after two fresh cases were filed against him.
The interim bail order was passed by district and sessions judge SP Singh after hearing Abha Rathore, lawyer and wife of 67-year-old Rathore, and Pankaj Bharadwaj, counsel for the family of Ruchika Girhotra.
Speaking to reporters on Thursday, Jan 7, Abha Rathore said that the fresh FIRs against Rathore were not legal, as these cases had been examined earlier. The High Court and Supreme Court had quashed them.
