Fire in Delhi slum kills four children

New Delhi, Jan 6: Four children were killed on Wednesday, Jan 6, when a fire broke out at a slum in south Delhi, an official said.

"At around 1:45 am on Wednesday, Jan 6, there was a fire in a slum in Sarita Vihar in south Delhi," a fire department official said.

"Although the number of injured has not yet been confirmed, four children who belonged to the same family were killed in the fire," official said.

The reason for the fire is yet to be ascertained. Six fire engines were sent to douse the flames.
