Passenger train derails in Assam, no casualty
Rangiya, Jan 3: Seven compartments of a passenger train derailed in Assam early Sunday, Jan 3, but there was no casualty.
According to railway sources, Murkongselek-Rangiya passenger train carrying 400 people derailed at 03:47 am.
The spot where the accident took place is under Rangiya division of North East Frontier Railway.
Railway officers have rushed to the spot to find out the cause of the mishap.
The damaged tracks were being repaired, the sources added.
