Will not spare the guilty in Ruchika case: Hooda

Chandigarh, Jan 2: Assuring that the new probe into the Ruchika molestation case will be done quickly, Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda has expressed sympathy towards the victim's family members.

Hooda on Saturday, Jan 2, promised that the special police team constituted to probe fresh charges against former Haryana police chief SPS Rathore, the man convicted in the 1990 case, will complete its work 'as early as possible'.

"We have full sympathy with the family members of Ruchika. SIT's (Special Investigation Team) report is awaited. We will not spare the guilty," Hooda said while talking to reporters here.

The state police on Wednesday, Dec 30, set up the SIT to investigate into the fresh charges levelled against the ex-DGP by Ruchika's brother Ashu.

The brother has accused Rathore of driving Ruchika to suicide.
