Ruchika case: Rathore denied anticipatory bail

Panchkula, Dec 30: The sessions court here on Wednesday, Dec 30, rejected the anticipatory bail plea moved by the former Haryana DGP SPS Rathore to evade arrest in Ruchika molestation case.

The sessions court denied granting an anticipatory bail to Rathore as it failed to access the copy of FIRs lodged against Rathore.

The court also directed the Haryana administration to clarify its stand and submit a report by Jan 1 on whether or not Rathore can be granted an interim bail under such circumstances.

On Tuesday, Dec 29, two fresh FIRs were registered against him by Ruchika's father, Subhash, and her brother, Ashu.
