Infosys techie, wife held for abusing maid
Bangalore, Dec 30: Police arrested a techie and his wife on Tuesday, Dec 29 for physical harassment of their 15-year old domestic help at their residence in HSR Layout, Bangalore.
Pallav Chakravarthy, a software engineer in Infosys Technologies Limited, beat up their teenage maid with a ladle, while his wife Sanchita poured hot oil over her back.
The teenager was rescued after an anonymous call alerted authorities about the incident.
She was admitted to a government hospital to get treatment for burns.
Police said that the duo has been arrested and a case under Juvenile Justice Act and IPC has been filed against them.
Chakravarthy hails from Kolkata.
