Musharraf says no peace in Pak till terrorism rooted out completely

Islamabad, Dec.29 (ANI) : Condemning the suicide attack on a Muharram procession in Karachi in which 40 people were killed, former Pakistan President General Pervez Musharraf has called on the government to root out terrorism from the country.

"Terrorism should be uprooted at all cost. The menace should be nipped in the bud," The News quoted Musharraf, as saying.

Speaking over telephone from London, Musharraf said peace and stability cannot be established in the country until extremism is eliminated completely.

He said that the war on terror should continue until the menace is wiped off from the region.

Musharraf also urged the nation to remain calm and united to 'foil the evil designs of the militants.' (ANI)
