Moderate earthquake shakes northeast India

Guwati, Dec 29: A moderate earthquake shook the Northeastern parts of the country on Tuesday, Dec 29 at around 2: 32 pm.

The epicentre of the quake, which measured 5.5 on the Richter scale, was located along the Myanmar-India border.

The impact was reportedly felt in several places including Guwahati, Shillong, Imphal, Itanagar and northern Bengal.

Officials said that there no report of damage to properties or loss of lives.
