Swine flu claims 21 more lives, toll up to 852
New Delhi, Dec 27: India's Swine flu death toll climbed to 852, with the H1N1 virus claiming 21 more lives across the country.
According to the Health Ministry's statement released on Saturday, Dec 26, a total of 225 new cases were reported across India, taking the total number of people affected to 24,932.
Delhi government has revealed that the capital recorded 88 fresh cases, out of which 42 were children, taking the total affected to 9,071.
Other states which have recorded new cases are Rajasthan with 45 cases, Haryana with 19, Maharashtra with 16, Gujarat with 14, Punjab with 11, Chandigarh with 7 and Uttar Pradesh with 6.
