Manmohan Singh arrives in Bhubaneswar
Bhubaneswar, Dec 27 (ANI): Prime Minister Manmohan Singh today arrived here on a six-hour visit to the state.
He is expected to inaugurate the 92nd conference of the Indian Economic Association (IEA).
Manmohan Singh will also lay the foundation stone of the National Institute of Science Education and Research (NISER) at Argul, 25 kilometers from here.
Orissa Governor M C Bhandare, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik and other senior government officials received the Prime Minister on his arrival at the Biju Patnaik Airport.
The Prime Minister, who arrived in a special IAF aircraft, drove straight to the venue of the IEA conference at KIIT University campus.
As per the schedule, Manmohan Singh will in the afternoon fly to Argul in a helicopter to lay the foundation for the NISER programme. (ANI)
