Malik asks India to respect Pak courts, says action against Saeed only after evidence

Islamabad, Dec.24 (ANI): Pakistan Interior Minister Rehman Malik has said that India should respect Pakistani courts, adding that Islamabad would not take notes from any country including New Delhi.

Referring to the issue of Jamaat-ud-Daawa chief, whom India considers as the main plotter of the Mumbai terror attacks, Malik said the case is in the court and the government will take action once there is new evidence against him.

Talking to media persons here, he once again rebuffed reports about the presence of controversial US private security firm, Blackwater, in Pakistan.

When asked about the corruption charges levelled against him, Malik said he would resign from his post if the charges were proved, and added that the Pakistan People's Party (PPP) is committed to root out corruption from the country. (ANI)
