Karnataka: BSY inducts rebel MLA into ministry

Bangalore, Dec 24: Karanataka Chief Minister BS Yeddyurappa has inducted dissident MLA M P Renukacharya into his ministry.

Renukacharya was sworn in by Governor H R Bhardwaj at the Raj Bhavan in the state capital at a brief function.

BS Yeddyurappa along with some of his ministerial colleagues attended the function.

This is the second time that Yeddyurappa has expanded his ministry under the pressure from rebels.

On Nov 17, BSY welcomed another rebel, Jagadish Shettar into his ministry. Shettar was inducted after he quit his post as the speaker.

These steps were taken as part of the compromise between BSY and the rebelling fraction led by the Reddy brothers.
