Mumbai, Dec 24: The file on the faulty bullet-proof vest has been found from the office of the Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) after it had reportedly gone missing.
The three clerks who were in-charge of the missing file are set to face suspension.
"A report into the inquiry of the missing file has been forwarded to the Home department, which will take a decision on action against the three clerks," said a senior police officer.
The clerks were from the Purchase Department of the Mumbai police.
The missing file came into light when social activist Santosh Daundkar filed an RTI, seeking information on purchase of faulty bullet-proof jacket from the the commissioner's office.
In response, Daundkar was informed that the file was missing.
Daunkar had filed a PIL against the purchase of faulty bullet-proof vests for the police, which resulted in the death of the three senior officers in the Mumbai terror attacks.
