New Delhi, Dec 24: In the backdrop the 48-hours bandh called by TRS, 1,150 additional para-military men were rushed to Andhra Pradesh by the Center on Thursday, Dec 24.
Home ministry official said that ten companies of Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) were airlifted from the capital city including Jalandhar and Chandigarh and sent to Hyderabad to control the volatile situation in the state.
Andhra Pradesh will now have 38 companies against the earlier 28 companies.
The bandh was called in the state in retaliation against the Center's decision to put the Telangana issue on hold.
Center had said that the situation in Andhra Pradesh has altered after the announcement of separate Telangana.
