US flight crashes at Jamaica airport, 40 injured
Washington, Dec 23: At least 40 people were injured when an American Airlines Boeing 737 overshot the runway while landing at the international airport in Kingston, Jamaica on Tuesday, Dec 22 night.
There are no reports of fatalities.
"The injured passengers have been taken to the Kingston Public Hospital," information minister Daryl Vaz told the Jamaica Observer.
Flight AA331, a Boeing 737, had arrived from Miami with approximately 150 passengers when the accident occurred, the report said.
“The plane crashed and broke almost in front of me," a passenger who was seated at seat number D8 told the Observer.
