Ranchi, Dec 23: Jharkhand seemed to be headed to a hung assembly as none of the political groups or combined is likely to get the majority in the 81-member house.
The present situation has put Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) Chief Shibu Soren the kingmaker, as the party which has so far won 19 seats has agreed to form alliance with any party which is willing to make JMM chief shibu Soren as the chief minister.
"Our party's stand is whoever will support Guruji (Shibu Soren) for chief ministership, will get our support," JMM's central committee secretary, Supriyo Bhattacharya said.
Taking into consideration the inevitable situation, parties are gearing up to woo JMM.
AICC secretary in- charge for Jharkhand K Keshav said that the party is in touch with every party as achieving a single majority is unlikely.
Keshav said that he has held talk with soren regarding the formation of the government.
According to the latest tally, Congress-JVM(P) combine had won 23 seats and was leading in 2 seats, while BJP had won 20 seats.
